RGS Technologies can help protect your child wherever you go.

This unique RF unit will monitor your child for up to 300 feet and sound an alert when the child wanders too far from a guardian. The system will also show the direction of the child so they can be located fast and easy. The Ion system sets up an invisible barrier that will notify you in the event your child leaves an area.

The ionKids system was designed with both ergonomics and simplicity in mind. It consists of two components: a comfortable, unobtrusive bracelet for the child to wear and a convenient base unit a parent can easily carry and operate.

Base Unit:
This small, easy to use device is used by the parent or guardian to monitor the location of the Wristag™ wearer. The Base Unit , a handheld device, allows parents to monitor up to four Wristags simultaneously.

Wristag:
This specially designed, tamper- and water-resistant bracelet is worn by the child. The Wristag is designed to be fun to wear and requires no interaction on the part of the child. ionKids Wristags adjust to fit snugly against your child's skin, and contain a strong locking mechanism that cannot be easily opened without a key, which comes with the Base Unit.

How They Work Together: Wristags transmit a signal to the Base Unit from up to 500 feet when outdoors and up to 350 feet indoors. Because it uses a point-to-point wireless communication system, the ionKids products do not rely on cell towers or satellites to locate your child-so cloud cover or a building's roof will not prevent you from finding your loved ones.  In addition there are NO monthly or annual fees for using ionKids products. Five times a second the Base Unit communicates with each Wristag it is monitoring.  During that communication the Base Unit determines the approximate distance the Wristags are from the Base Unit to see if any of the Wristags have exceeded the range set by the parent.  Also, five times a second the Base Unit and Wristags change frequencies on which they communicate making it nearly impossible for anyone else to monitor the whereabouts of your child.  This also allows hundreds of Wristags to be in a close environment, such as a mall or theme park, without signal collisions. The underside of the Wristag is equipped with sensors that detect if the Wristag has been removed.  If the Wristag is removed in an improper manner,  it immediately activates the Wristag alarm and sends a simultaneous "tamper" alarm to the Base Unit to warn parents. ionKids is the first product to be released by Bluespan using ionTechnology.  During the first quarter of 2005 Bluespan will be releasing the ionTechnology Tag Holder which will allow parents to remove the technology module from the Wristag and place it into an alternative holder that can be hooked to a belt loop, purse strap or pet collar.  Information about the Tag Holder can be found at http://www.911togo.com/tagholder.html. But applications for ionTechnology don't stop with children or pets.  Using the Tag Holder persons responsible for adults with Alzheimer's Disease now have a new and better way to prevent adults from wandering away from home.  IonTechnology can be applied to situations to better monitor and manager emergency workers and first responders in order to make sure such personnel are not accidentally left in a building or to ensure that necessary supplies are directed to the proper locations. IonTechnology can be applied to the management and monitoring of visitors to public and governmental buildings to make sure the visitors go where they are permitted and do not wander into secure or unauthorized areas.  IonTechnology can even be deployed to monitor cargo and supplies in large facilities such as warehouses or ports.
